The original pink plastic lawn flamingo was first produced by our own Fitchburg, Massachusetts native son, Don Featherstone in 1957. It has since become a lawn ornament icon and symbol of American kitsch. Our American Flamingo is more life-like and subdued in the landscape, but with a nod to the classic.
